We are committed to protecting your privacy online. We employ business practices to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to your information that we collect and receive via our vehicle finance application; it does not apply to practices of businesses that we do not own or control or to people we do not employ.  By clicking the submit button, we will share your information with finance partners and authorized intermediaries (including, but not limited to banks, finance companies, credit unions and car dealers) (“Finance Partners”) and in an attempt to process your vehicle finance application.  If you selected to receive other special offers, we may share your personal information excluding your financial information and social security number with parties interested in making you other offers.  If you wish to opt out of the vehicle finance application process, simply do not click the submit button. 

In order to provide you with additional product and service offerings, we may disclose all Private Information about you with trustworthy and reputable third parties such as:

l    Non-financial companies

l    Others

IF YOU PREFER THAT WE NOT DISCLOSE YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION WITH NON-AFFILIATED MARKETING COMPANIES, YOU MAY "OPT-OUT" OF THOSE DISCLOSURES, THAT IS, YOU MAY DIRECT US NOT TO MAKE THOSE DISCLOSURES (OTHER THAN DISCLOSURES OTHERWISE PERMITTED BY LAW).  IF YOU WISH TO OPT OUT OF OFFERS OTHER THAN SUBMITTING A VEHICLE FINANCE APPLICATION, SIMPLY DO NOT CHECK THE BOX NEXT TO “I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE OTHER SPECIAL OFFERS” ON THE VEHICLE FINANCE APPLICATION FORM.

We will not release your personally-identifiable data without your permission.

Browsing the Site

If you access www.CarLoanPal.com without entering any personal information, we will gather and store information about your visit. This information does not identify you and cannot link back to you unless you choose to identify yourself.

Cookies

We may also place "cookies" on your personal computer when you are browsing the Site, or otherwise. "Cookies" are small identifiers sent from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive, similar to a license plate, that help us to recognize you if you visit the Site again. Information Collected

When you submit a vehicle financing application,  we will need to obtain personally identifiable information from you or about you. Such personally identifiable information may include your name, home address, residence information, employment information, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, financial information, bankruptcy history, credit references, etc. Consumers who submit an application expressly authorize us and third party partners to contact them in connection with each application and/or request regardless of whether or not such consumer is listed on a "Do Not Call" list.

The information we receive about you or from you may be used by us or shared (including evaluating and obtaining financial products or services) by us with our corporate affiliates, agents, vendors and other third parties to help process your request or complete a transaction; to comply with any law, regulation, audit or court order; to help improve our website or the products or services we offer; for research; to better understand our customers' needs; to develop new offerings; and to alert you to new products and services (of us or our business associates) in which you may be interested. We may also combine information you provide us with information about you that is available to us internally or from other sources. The more we know about you, the better we are able to serve you.

We may also aggregate your personal information with others' information and prepare reports on site usage. Those reports are aggregated and include no personally identifying information. Finally, we may use your personal information to send you email or postal communications regarding products or services offered by us or by third parties with whom we have relationships in which we think you may be interested.  You may at any time choose not to receive promotional emails from us by contacting us at info@carloanpal.com. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may continue to contact you for the purpose of communicating information relating to www.carloanpal.com, as well as to facilitate, complete, or confirm any transaction that you may enter into or responding to your inquiry or request.

If you prefer for us not to provide your name and email or postal address to third parties for direct marketing purposes, please contact us at info@carloanpal.com.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

Information we receive from you on applications on our website or other forms;

Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and

We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to financial institutions, dealership lender partners, local dealers and other third parties that provide financing referral services to explore financing options to process your credit request.

We also may disclose non-public personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.

All information provided by consumers in any of the above-listed ways or otherwise may be used and disclosed as permitted in this Privacy Policy.

Information submitted to us in connection with a financing request is used to transmit the request to third parties who may be in a position to respond to your request. We do not provide financing, but instead transmit those requests to third-party vendors for consideration.

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you submit a financing application, your name, residential address, date of birth and social security number will be used to verify your identity. In addition, as part of the request process, we may verify the information you provide, or obtain omitted address or other contact information from third parties. 

Credit Reports

By checking the box next to “I authorize your Finance Partners to check my credit report.” and by submitting an Application you are affirming on behalf of the stated Applicant(s):  “I  authorize any and all Finance Partners and its employees, agents and potential assignees to obtain and verify information about me (including one or more credit reports, information about my employment and banking and credit relationships) that any of them may deem necessary or appropriate in evaluating my Application. If my Application is approved and credit is granted, I also authorize such parties to obtain additional credit reports and other information about me in connection with reviewing the account, taking collection on the account, or for any other legitimate purpose. I further understand that multiple credit reports may be obtained by multiple Finance Partners in an attempt to process my Application.”  I understand that by checking the box “A cosigner is available if necessary” that I may be asked to provide additional information about the cosigner and the cosigner will be asked to provide authorization to pull the cosigner’s credit report as well.  

Updating or Deleting Your information

You may update or delete your information at any time prior to submitting any request to us at info@carloanpal.com. 

Security

We safeguard your personal identifying data (e.g., name and social security number) during electronic transmission from you to us using known encryption, security standards and procedures.  With respect to our employees, we restrict access to non-public personal information about you only to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and other procedural safeguards to comply with applicable privacy laws to guard your nonpublic personal information. We also assess new technology for protecting sensitive customer information on an ongoing basis. However, if your information is forwarded to a third party provider, your information will be transmitted according to the security and privacy policies of that third party provider whose privacy practices may differ from ours. Your information, as shared with outside providers will become subject to those different privacy policies.

Minors

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of eighteen (18). No information should be submitted to, or posted at, the Site by individuals under eighteen (18) years of age. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate and monitor the interactive activities of their children.

Do Not Call Registry Compliance

By submitting personal contact and/or financial information through (carloanpal.com domain), the user hereby grants written permission to carloanpal.com, its affiliated sites, and its business partners for contact via telephone, mail, and/or e-mail. Further, by registering at carloanpal.com you are consenting to receive phone calls from carloanpal.com, its affiliated sites, and its business partners for contact via telephone, including but not limited to Finance Partners that may contact you regarding credit counseling and thereby registrants waive their right to file a claim with the FTC or any other agency in reference to these calls or contacts.

Opting-Out of Further Communications

Carloanpal.com registrants may opt-out of receiving further communications from carloanpal.com by:

 (1) following "unsubscribe" instructions in any carloanpal.com e-mail received by registrant, or

 (2) writing to info@carloanpal.com. 

Unsubscribing from the carloanpal.com email list does not automatically unsubscribe you from other email lists. Please read your email carefully to understand which email list you are unsubscribing from.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change, modify, add and/or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. All Privacy Policy changes will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Site. Please check the Site periodically for any changes. Where you do not agree to any such changes, you must opt-out by contacting us at info@carloanpal.com.

 

Trademark and Copyright Information

Everything on our website is copyrighted (unless otherwise noted) and may not be used except with our express written consent. Use of text or images by you or other third parties is prohibited and may violate the copyright laws, trademark laws, privacy laws and other laws and regulations. Nothing contained on this site may be construed as granting any license or right to use any of our text, images, trademarks or service marks, or any content on our website, without our prior written consent.

 

STATE LAW DISCLOSURES

Legal Notice

 

California Applicants:

For purposes of compliance with the California Financial Privacy Act, if you are a resident of the State of California and would like to opt-out from the disclosure of your personal information to any third-party for marketing purposes, please contact us at info@carloanpal.com. Married applicants may apply for separate credit. A married applicant may include a spouse's income even when applying for a separate account.


Maryland

We do not accept or solicit any fees or payments from you.  When you submit an Application to us and your Application is forwarded to one of our Finance Partners, you may be issued a Financing Agreement by a Finance Partner in accordance with Maryland Commercial Law Code §§ 12-125, 1013. This Financing Agreement must include: (1) the term and principal amount of your loan; (2) an explanation of the type of loan being offered; (3) the interest rate and, if the rate is subject to final determination at a future date based on some objective standard, a specific statement of those facts; (4) the points, if any, to be paid by the borrower; and (5) the term during which the Financing Agreement remains in effect.

Ohio Applicants:
The Ohio laws against discrimination require that all creditors make credit equally available to all credit worthy customers, and that credit reporting agencies maintain separate credit histories on each individual upon request. The Ohio civil rights commission administers compliance with this law.

Vermont Applicants:
For purposes of compliance with the Vermont Consumer Protection Act, if you are a resident of the State of Vermont and would like to opt-out from the disclosure of your personal information to any third-party for marketing purposes, please contact us at info@carloanpal.com.


Wisconsin Applicants:
No provision of a marital property agreement, a unilateral statement under Wis. Rev. Stat. § 766.59 or a court decree under Wis. Rev. Stat. § 766.70 adversely affects the interest of the creditor unless the creditor, prior to the time the credit is granted, is furnished a copy of the agreement, statement or decree or has actual knowledge of the adverse provision when the obligation to the creditor is incurred.

 

 

Consent for Electronic Documents

Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act


You are submitting a Vehicle Finance application ("Application").  To continue this process, our Finance Partners must provide you certain notices, documents, information and disclosures related to your Application electronically ("Electronic Documents").  By reading this Consent for Electronic Documents, you agree that you have been informed of your rights when receiving these Electronic Documents.  By agreeing to receive Electronic Documents, you acknowledge receipt of this Consent for Electronic Documents, and agree to receive Electronic Documents via the internet to the e-mail address designated on your Application.  You need to contact the Finance Partner if you would like such records to be provided on paper or in non-electronic form.

You may withdraw your consent by contacting us at info@carloanpal.com or calling us at 866/963-3429, however, if we have already forwarded your application to a Financial Partner you must also withdraw your consent from the Financial Partner when they contact you.  If you withdraw your consent, the legal validity and enforceability of previously transmitted Electronic Documents will not be affected, and you will not have the option to later receive your Electronic Documents via electronic means.
